V. Advantages of the Thai Market

1. Strategic Location: Situated at the heart of Southeast Asia, Thailand is a central hub for transportation, logistics, and trade among the 10 ASEAN countries and is the region's second-largest economy. Thailand also serves as a key partner in China's Belt and Road Initiative and maintains strong economic ties with China, Japan, and South Korea—making it an ideal entry point for international agricultural machinery brands to access Southeast Asia.

2. Strong Demand: In 2023, Thailand imported approximately USD 7.16 billion worth of agricultural machinery, but only USD 1.331 billion came from China—indicating vast potential for Chinese agricultural machinery exports.

3. Equipment Compatibility: Thailand's main crops (rice, corn, cassava, sugarcane, rubber, palm) closely align with China's agricultural machinery technology pathways. Chinese small- and medium-sized agricultural equipment offers excellent cost-effectiveness.
